Females in focus: How 3 dedicated women are empowering their local communities

Successful charity work requires you to be passionate about your ideals and be a great marketer, as demonstrated by the stories of these wonderful women. Read on to learn how they used PosterMyWall to take their work to the next level.

“Beauty is not who you are on the outside, it is the wisdom and time you gave away to save another struggling soul like you.”

Shannon L. Alder

Most find success, one way or the other via personal career choices, setting up a daily routine and finding the time to experience the simple joys of life. Some of us have a higher calling, that is to help others build stronger ties within one’s community and forge new destinies for the marginalized.

Uplifting your community is hard work, but it’s made a little easier if you have a handy graphic design tool to do the heavy lifting of regularly preparing and sharing news and updates online. Even charity work requires you to be able to market and present yourself online effectively, as demonstrated by the stories of these wonderful women who used PosterMyWall to act upon their ideals and capture a loyal following along the way.

Jazzie Cares Foundation

Jazzie Cares Foundation was started by Mrs Jasmine Gillians, who used her experience, business savvy and compassion to provide a much needed platform whereby families in need could reach out for financial and educational support.

As the oldest of 4, raised by a single mother until marrying, she has conquered the ability to use what she has in order to succeed and help others along the way.

The Jasmine Cares Foundation is dedicated to supporting single parent and low-income families, by:

  1. Providing financial assistance to low-income families so they can make ends meet.
  2. Providing educational resources and workshops tailored to lead families towards successful futures.
  3. Partnering with other organizations to host events throughout the year that provide a nurturing environment, free necessities and educational resources.

Jasmine creates event flyers and social media posts with the help of PosterMyWall. She notes that the app has allowed her organization to grow because her posts can now convey clear, and useful information and ideas to her audience.

Dr. Trenese L. McNealy

Our next super woman has done it all! Dr. Trenese L. McNealy is a wife, mom, author, entrepreneur, and life coach that helps moms maintain a healthy, work-life balance to reach their goals through successful Program and Project Management strategies.

The focal point of her work is her company, Dr. Trenese L. McNealy, LLC, established in 2010. She provides project management consulting services for moms like her and other businesses.

Like any smart social media marketer, she’s familiar with all manners of online marketing, and she uses her skill set to create books, e-books, worksheets, guides, webinars, virtual Lunch and Learns, and luncheons to reach her clients.

But why bother? Dr Trenese tells us about the source behind her passion:

‘As a mother myself, I create content built with strategies that can help moms push through the everyday struggles by maintaining proper time management to fulfill not only the needs of their children, but their own passion in life. I create content that will help moms awaken the winner within them and power-up their goals. I also create content that will help moms embrace self care for themselves and allow them to surround themselves with empowering women.’

Dr. Trenese L. McNealy

Dr Terence promoted her new book ‘Mommy’s Goals vs. Reality: Managing School, Work, and Family’ as well as a ton of webinars and online luncheons using the tools available at PosterMyWall. Her eye-catching social media posts with complete speaker lists and event details leave nothing to the imagination.

The Profound Brown

Led by a dynamic group of educators with over 50 combined years of experience, The Profound Brown set out to empower young readers in grades PK-12 spiritually, mentally, and socially through a shared love of literature. Learners who identify as black, indigenous and people of color read texts across multiple genres that display characters as three-dimensional human beings with stories full of love, laughter, and life.

The Profound Brown was founded on September 23, 2020, and it aims to provide safe space for scholars from people of color where they can develop and nurture their love for reading and explore literature that explores the BIPOC experience.

The Profound Brown staunchly advocates equity among underserved communities in a constantly shifting globalized society.

The team at The Profound Brown used PosterMyWall to make all kinds of web and physical content to promote their events and spread word about what they do. They utilized flyers and social media posts to reach over 15,000 clients and start conversations with hundreds more, and that’s just on Black History Month.

The hard working women behind these organizations have different starting points and stories, but they were all able to leverage their business skills and the right tools to take part in the betterment of their communities and create a better future for the marginalized among them, through education, self-expression, financial support and care.

If you’re running your own non-profit organization and prospects look bleak, fret not! As proven by these amazing women, you can achieve great successes in a matter of months with the right mindset, the ability to adapt with unpredictable circumstances and the right tools on hand.
